Richard Carl Sticher of Covington, passed away January 7, 2017, at the age of 83. Mr. Sticher was a faithful member of County Line Baptist Church. He served with the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief and the Pace Masonic Lodge. Mr. Sticher loved working as a pipefitter with the Local 72, especially during his time on the Alaskan Pipeline. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed the outdoors, working on his farm and hunting. Mr. Sticher was also known to have a great affection for coffee - always having a cup close at hand. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Melissa Louise Sticher; mother, Lenice Ruth (Tubbs) Sticher.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Julia Ann (Judy) Sticher; sons and daughters-in-law, Frankie and Debbie Sticher of Covington, Al and Kristie Sticher of Oxford; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Keith Williams of Alpharetta; grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Williams, Kerry Jo Sticher, Carl Lee Sticher; great-grandchildren, Malakai Williams, Brexdyn Gronefeld; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Sticher will be held Monday, January 9, 2017, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
