Robert Bell

Robert Bell of Conyers, passed away July 13, 2017, at 78 years of age. Mr. Bell, a veteran of the United States Air Force, retired from Lithonia Lighting after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of Oxford Baptist Church and very active in his Sunday School class. An all-around sports fan, Mr. Bell especially liked baseball, even coaching his sons during their youth. When not spending time with family, he could be found playing golf, or hitting up the local Waffle House. Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his infant baby girl, Jennifer Lynne Bell; parents, James F. and Ora (Robinson) Bell; sister, Janet Williams.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Bessie Mae Bell; daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and John Marshall of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Sharon Bell of Oxford, Chris Bell of Conyers; grandchildren, Jonathan Marshall, Dillan Marshall, Tamela Bell, Jordan Bell, Briana Berry, Matthew Bell; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jody Bates; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Bell will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Andy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, July 14, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Flowers are accepted, or contributions may be made to Oxford Baptist Church.
