Mr. Bird was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.Survivors include his wife, Margie Bird; daughter, Jeananne Holstun; son, Robert Bird; brother, William Bird; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.Funeral Services for Mr. Bird will be held Monday, December 12, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, GA, with Pastors John Swafford and Bob Bird, Jr., officiating. Interment will be held Tuesday, December 13, in Georgia National Cemetery, in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 11, from 5:00-9:00 PM.
