Robert “Bob” Hooper, 81, of Covington Georgia, passed peacefully, on October 18, 2024. 

 Bob was born on August 21, 1943, to parents, John and Ruth Hooper, in Munhall, Pennsylvania. He was cherished as a young man, and often seen in photographs with his four siblings and dog, Tray. His childhood summers were spent in the outdoors, and on the shores of Lake Erie. Bob joined the Army after high school, eventually earning his degree from Penn State University. 

 Bob loved to travel and saw destinations all over both the United States and Europe. He was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Bob loved music and his favorite band was The Rolling Stones. He got to experience The Stones, live, in concert during the band’s 2021 tour stop in Atlanta. But most of all, Bob enjoyed sharing a meal with loved ones, and quiet evenings on the back porch with his cherished dogs. 

 Beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend; Bob is survived by his children, Kelly Misovich, Robin George, and James Sarti. Grandchildren, Megan Gainey (Austin), Jessica Odom (Caleb), Davis George, Madison George, and Lara Misovich. Great grandchild, Ozzy Odom. Siblings, John E “Jack” Hooper, Mary Lishok (Joe), and Steve Hooper (Elizabeth). His partner of 16 years, Anna Stanionis, as well as a vast multitude of other family and friends. 

 Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte S. Hooper, and brother Dale Hooper (Barbara). 

 A memorial service will be held on November 9, 2024 from 11am to 2pm at the Caldwell and Cowan chapel. 1215 Access Rd, Covington, Ga 30014. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob’s life and share their memories.
