Access RoadRev. Robert Lee Clark of Covington, went home to be with the Lord, December 6, 2010, at the age of 83. Pastor Clark had been the Pastor of Ambassadors for Christ Apostolic Church in Atlanta for 32 years. He had very special outreach programs through radio and prison ministries. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a prison guard at the Nuremberg War Trials. Pastor Clark was appointed as Special Lt. Col., Aide de Cap with the Governor's staff. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Bro. Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Sister Nettie Jo Clark; parents, Cicero Amos and Annie Bell (Slate) Clark; and one grandchild, Brad Alford. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Pastor Kenneth Morrell of Covington, Peggy and Bill Goodwin of Monticello, Sheila and Mike Mashburn of Conyers, Darlene and Keith Whitley of McDonough, Tammy Jo Farmer of Covington, Rhonda Lee Walden of Moultrie; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Rose Clark, Larry and Judy Clark, all of Monticello; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Biffle, Marjorie and Steve Pickett, all of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Bro. Clark will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010, 1:00 PM, at Higher Praise Tabernacle, 2025 Highway 212, in Covington, with Pastor Kenneth Morrell officiating, and interment following in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, in Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., Wednesday, December 8, from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM.
