Robert "Mike" Findlay of Covington, passed away August 17, 2016, at the age of 62. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, for forty years. Robert was a Godly man, who loved the Lord, and was known to be a man of his word. Not one to meet a stranger, he quickly earned the nickname, "Friendly Findlay", in high school. Robert loved spending time with his family and could oftentimes be found camping and going to the lake. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Katherine Findlay.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Findlay; daughter, Beth Findlay, both of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Laura Ann and Michael May of Oxford; granddaughter, Jaden May of Loganville; honorary grandchildren, Ava and Ashton Draper; sisters, Elizabeth Scott Stewart of Waycross; Jane Barber of Covington; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Findlay will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016, 2:00 PM at Living Way World Church, in Covington, with Bishop Tim Needham officiating and interment following in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Covington. Friends may visit with his family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Friday, August 19, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
