Robert Paul (Bubba) Garmon

Robert Paul (Bubba) Garmon, of Covington, passed away on December 28, 2012, at the age of 42.   Paul enjoyed music, drumming, fishing, and traveling.  His profession was welding, and he was a member of the Boiler Makers Union.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Edythe Burrell; and paternal grandparents, Bonnie Lou and Dewitt Garmon.   Survivors include his parents, Jimmy and Donna Garmon of Covington; daughter, Summer Victoria Garmon of Lake Worth, FL; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Mac Smith of Covington; nephew, Tyler Smith and niece, Tess Smith both of Covington; uncles, Everett and Maria Burrell of Miami, FL, Michael and Honey Burrell of Summerville, SC, Robert and Wanda Garmon of Atlanta, and Howard and Dorothy Garmon of Covington; aunts, Mary Slaick of Loganville, Jeanette and Claude Berger of Lawrencville, and Faye and Joe Patterson of Greenville, SC, several cousins.   Funeral services for Paul will be held Thursday, January 3, 2013, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. J. Clifton Brown officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 2, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
