Robert King

Robert King of Oxford, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the age of 59. Mr. King was a loving family man. He enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains. In addition to being a Georgia Bulldogs fan, Mr. King loved listening to classic rock music - usually while sitting on the front porch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Helen (Barnes) King; brother, Billy King.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Lindsey and Bhrett Blankenship of Covington, Jessica Blackwell of Monticello; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amber Mattison of Monticello; grandchildren, Payton Harwood, Lance Blackwell, Morgan Blackwell, Cayden Mitchell, Eli Mattison, Gabriel Blankenship, Juliette Blankenship, Scarlett Mattison; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and John Kasper of Covington; brother, Leon King, Oxford.

Funeral Services for Robert King will be held Sunday, January 29, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor David Marshall officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 28, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
