Robert E. (Bob) Williams

Access RoadRobert E. (Bob) Williams of Covington, passed away March 17, 2010, at the age of 77. He was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Covington, The Gideons International, and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Williams was well-known for his work as an insurance agent with both Globe Life Insurance Company and United American Life Insurance Company. He enjoyed sketching, drafting, traveling, and vegetable gardening. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Williams and Mildred and George Gibson. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Lisa Sale of Atlanta, Sandy and Gregg Garrett of Covington, Scott Williams of Valdosta, Jason and Ashley Williams of Atlanta; sisters, Virginia Robb of Lakeland, FL, Martha Strickland of TX; grandchildren, Tylisa, Jamie, Jessica, Brittany, Kimberly, Sarah, Samantha, Bradley, Leslie, Adam; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Williams will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010, 11 AM, at First Baptist Church of Covington, with Rev. Len Strozier officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Friday, March 19, from 6-8 PM.
