Robert A. Bell, of Covington, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 80. Mr. Bell courageously served his country in the United States Army and received a Purple Heart while serving in Vietnam. He was a hard worker and a member of the Loganville American Legion. Mr. Bell enjoyed gambling, going to the casino, playing Bingo, and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, Mr. Bell loved his dogs, Scrappy and Russell who shared a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evelyn Bell; sons, James Bell, Chuck Cartledge; grandson, Hunter White; parents, James Aaron and Clarine Bell.
Survivors include his daughter, Robyn White (Stacey); sons, Robby Bell (Christy), Ricky Bell Cartledge (Nora), Bobby Cartledge (Cindy), and Kenneth Rush; grandkids, Makenzie, Caitlyn, Nicholas, Ashley, Taylor, Hailee, Ryan Bell, Brandon, Tiffany, Erika, Cameron, Megan, Scott; great-grandkids, Anderson, Anniston, Kennedy, Tally, Lucas, Aiden, Brayden, Peyton, Ethan, Landon, Karter, Kaleb, Emma, Stevie, Sidney, Rylan, Madilyn, King, Ashton (Bam Bam); brother, Jack Bell.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Bell will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Wednesday, October 25, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
