Rosey Baxter Davis

Access RoadRosey Baxter Davis of Covington, passed away February 6, 2011, at the age of 77. Mrs. Davis worked for Hercules, in Covington, for more than 25 years. She enjoyed crocheting, craft work, flying, and traveling to the mountains. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Carroll Baxter; granddaughter, Christy Baxter; and her parents, George Carlton and Annie Beatrice (Alford) Daniel. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jim Hammonds of Stockbridge, Martha Baxter, Billie Jean and Vertis Slappey, all of Covington; grandchildren, Josh Hammonds of Stockbridge, Robert Slappey of Covington; great-grandchildren, Billy, Trent, and Destiny; sisters, Eula Jackson, Stella Price, Mary Mann, Carlene Acox, Charlotte Johnson; brothers, James Daniel, Lamar Daniel, Larry Daniel; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services for Mrs. Davis will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011, 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Pastor Wayne Whitley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, February 7, from 6-8 PM.
