Roy Kenneth Beavers, of Covington, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the age of 87. Mr. Beavers adored his wife, cherished his family, and loved his granddaughters dearly. Mr. Beavers’ passion for golf, refereeing basketball games, and coaching his sons in their sports brought him immense fulfillment. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world through travel, especially overseas, while his playful side found delight in the thrills of the casino. Mr. Beavers’ kindness, warmth, and dedication to his loved ones will be dearly missed but forever remembered. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Jessie Beavers.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Lillian Beavers; children, Ken Beavers, Wayde Beavers, Joy Lynn Hall, Christy Michelle; as well as 3 grandchildren,Somer Meach, Keeley Gambina, Matt Hall; great grandchildren. Baer Meade, Holden Meade, Kaden Banks.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Beavers will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at Red Oak Methodist Church, 15105 Highway 36, in Covington, with Pastor Jerry Jones officiating and interment following in Red Oak Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family Wednesday, June 19, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M., at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
