Ruth E. Slay

Ruth Sullivan Slay of Covington, passed away February 17, 2011, at the age of 87. She was a member of Calvary Community Church, where her grandson, Rev. Tim Walden, is pastor. Mrs. Slay was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mattie (McDonald) Miller. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Linda Walden, Johnny and Sarah Walden, Larry and Janet Walden, Jerald Walden, all of Covington; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Slay will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, with Pastor Tim Walden officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, February 18, from 6-9 PM.
