Sara Ruth Henderson

Sara Ruth Henderson, age 90, of Oxford, passed away July 2, 2014. Mrs. Henderson cherished spending time with her Lord in prayer, and faithfully attended Gospel Tabernacle, in Covington. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, enjoyed drinking her coffee and eating desserts, and loved singing gospel music with her family's group, The Henderson Family. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Wilson; husband, William Ralph Henderson; and her parents, Thomas H. and Elizabeth (Moss) Fleming.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Tip Vaughn of Social Circle, Sarita and R.G. Stewart of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Henderson will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014, 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Rev. Ashley Vaughn officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, two hours prior to the service, from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
