Sara Helen Kitchens

Mrs. Sara Helen Kitchens of Covington, GA. died March 25, 2011 at the age of 81. She was born in Conyers, Georgia to the late Thomas and Jettie Biles Hinton. Mrs. Kitchens enjoyed shopping, cooking, going out to eat, reading the newspaper and being outdoors. She loved going to church and enjoyed gospel music and reading her Bible. Involved in the family business of building homes, she loved working with her husband and son. She is preceded in death by husband, Sidney Laban Kitchens, Sr.
Mrs. Kitchens is survived by her daughter Mary Jane and Ray Singleton of Butler, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Sidney L., Jr. and Betty Jo Kitchens of Conyers, GA, Kenneth F., Sr. and Vicki Kitchens of Navarre Beach, FL, Robert L. and Pam Kitchens of Conyers, GA; sister, Bettie Shepherd of Covington, GA; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Kitchens will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2011, 4:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, Covington, GA with Rev. Hardy Owens officiating and interment following in Covington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from the hours of 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Conyers, 2100 Hwy. 138 NE, Conyers, GA. 30013.
