Sara Payne

Sara Payne of Covington, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at the age of 83. A faithful Christian lady, Mrs. Payne was very active in her church. She loved to be outside working in the yard. Additionally, Mrs. Payne enjoyed cooking for her family and was famous for her amazing cakes. She was preceded in death by her son Chris Payne; and parents, George and Zora Mae Jones.

Survivors include her loving husband, Bobby Payne; daughters, Brenda Armistead, Sandy Arthur, both of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Carol Payne of Myrtle Beach, SC, Myles and Elaine Payne of Covington; grandchildren, Jamie Jenkins, Jodie Wilson, Julie Bryson, Joseph Payne, and Jessica Payne; great-grandchildren, Nikki Wilson, Andy Wilson, Sheridan Bryson, Tyler Bryson, Briana Bryson, Taylor Bryson, Jaxon Payne, and Raylan Payne; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 24, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Robert Haley officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Community Church Cemetery, Stone Mountain. Friends may visit with her family at the funeral home Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.
