Sarah Ann McCord Madden of McDonough passed away peacefully at home October 24, 2011. She was 74 years old at the time of her death. Mrs. Madden enjoyed dancing and taught line dancing and couple dancing. She loved gardening, yard work, fishing, camping and sewing. Mrs. Madden loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Open Bridge Church in McDonough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Norman Madden, son, John Madden and parents, Jesse Lee and Susie Bell (Dial) McCord.
Mrs. Madden is survived by her daughter, Wendy D. Madden of Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul N. Madden of Thomaston; Christopher A. and Melissa Madden of Oxford, Jessie T. and Terri Madden of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Robbie L. and Clint Cooper, Dana Y. Arnold, Deldrick G. Williams, Jr., Noah Madden, Timothy Williams; great-grandchildren, Sy'Niyha Hammond, Carlos Wilson, Jr., Kyliyha Wilson, Elizabeth Cooper, Annabelle Cooper, Lincoln Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and James Hobbs, Elaine M. and Wayne Mealor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene L. McCord, James L. (Jimmy/Jason) and and Patsy McCord, Gregory and Karen McCord; special friend, Don Watts; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Madden will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Access Road Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenny Heath officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, October 26, from 6 - 8 P.M.
