Scott Biggers, a lifelong Covington resident, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the age of 59. Mr. Biggers carved out a career at Pactive, and after 40 dedicated years of employment, retired. He was a devout Christian and member of New Life Baptist Church. Mr. Biggers’ favorite hobby was watching his grandson play baseball and assist in coaching when he could. He will be remembered as the family nickname giver and his signature catchphrase, “That’s fine!”. Mr. Biggers was preceded in death by his father, Newton Duval Biggers, Jr.

Mr. Biggers is survived by his daughters, Christina “Wink” Biggers-Xivir (Juan), Christy “Crust” Cooley (Jeremy); sons, Chris “Buddy Roe” Biggers (Lauren Williams), Chad "Bubba" Robinson (Shannon); grandchildren, Zae, Christian, Aasha, Kala, Chase, Cage, Levin, Gracelyn, Mariah, Jaylin, Layla, Bradley; great-grandson, Ayden; mother, Rachel Biggers; sister, Sandy “Shannie” Smith (Michael); brother, Jim “Jaimi” Biggers; former wife, Lynn Chamberlain; nieces, Nicole “Punk-Eye” Bryant (Terry), Jessica “Jedda Bug” Russell (James), Ashleigh “Ash Pac” Smith; nephew, Will “Slick” Smith (Jada); and close cousin, Mike Cherry.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Biggers will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with his cousin, Pastor Chris Allen officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.  Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home requests that you observe these recommendations while in our funeral home attending visitations and/or services.
