Sharon Long of Covington, passed away February 18, 2014, at the age of 72. She enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Mrs. Long loved her family dearly, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Leo and Bernice (Larson) Murphy.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Long, Sr., of Covington; daughters, Karen Rudd, Kelley Kay Sorlien, Kelly Ann Kane, Kimberly Ferrell; son, Jay Long, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Kay Popandice, Judith Barry, Karen Kerley, Kathy Wierzbinski; brother, Timothy Murphy; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Long will be held Friday, March 7, 2014, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington.
