Shirley Gaynell Standridge

Shirley Gaynell Standridge, of Stockbridge, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the age of 88. Mrs. Standridge was a great cook and baker and enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas at her house. In her spare time, she liked taking trips to the mountains and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. Mrs. Standridge was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Standridge; daughter, Karen Edmondson; sons, Mike Standridge, Allen Standridge; mother, Evie Standridge; and father, HR Turner.

Survivors include her son, Gary Standridge; grandchildren, Michael Standridge, Daniel Standridge, Jeremy Edmondson; 10 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Jimmy Edmondson; and daughter-in-law, Judy Standridge.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Standridge will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell and Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Hugh Smith, Jr. officiating and interment following in Fairview Memorial Gardens, in Stockbridge. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Sunday, September 24, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
