Stanley B. Allen

Stanley B. Allen, more commonly known as "Stan", passed away July 29, 2016, after his long, courageous struggle against cancer. He was a loving husband, wonderful brother, dear friend and teacher to many. Although he had no children of his own, Stan was a beloved father figure and coach for his students. He attended Philadelphia United Methodist Church, in Conyers, and was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan. Stan was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Jewell and Robert Bond.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, Debbie Allen; siblings, Sue Rogers, Belinda (Bill) Badger, Janet Pedigo, Mitch (Janet) Allen, Stacie Allen, Lori Allen; godsons, Nicholas Spires, Austin Spires; many nieces and nephews; and numerous colleagues, friends and adoring students.

A Memorial Service for Stan will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016, 11:30 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor David Collins officiating and interment following in Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Saturday, prior to his service, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stan's memory, to Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2194 W. Hightower Trail, Conyers, GA 30012.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers, love and support for the last 7 ½ years while Stan fought so hard!
