Steve Seals

Stephen Jackson Seals, of Douglasville, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the age of 77. Steve proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps where he was promoted to a Gunnery Sergeant. He was a Vietnam Veteran, wounded three times, and received three Purple Hearts. Steve was an adoring husband for 21 years and loved his family dearly. In his spare time, he enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman, bass tournament fishing, hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed managing Cobb’s Legion Hunting Club, one of the largest hunting clubs in North Georgia for 22 years. Steve was preceded in death by his, father, Jackson Seals; and brother, Andy Seals.

Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Diane Seals; God-son, Shane Woodall (Cheryl); step-daughter, Kayla Henry; son-in-law, Logan Henry; father-in-law, Forrest Sheppard; sister-in-law, Denise Worn; brother-in-law, Keith Worn; step-grandchildren, Lena Henry, Lila Henry; as well as an uncle to several nieces, nephew, and great-nieces.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Seals will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Tom Lee officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday, February 16, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
