Steve W. Wilson of Oxford died October 11, 2010, at the age of 52. Steve was self employed as an Art Director for 12 years, a published author with a passion for the word of God. He was an accomplished master carpenter, builder and creative designer as well. He collected antiques and enjoyed photography. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Pleasant and Jacquelyn Lott Wilson, and brother, Rev. Stanley K. Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Kristie Denise Wilson of Oxford; daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Glen Saunders of Oxford, Sandy Wilson of Conyers; granddaughters, Drake Saunders and Sage Saunders, both of Oxford; sister, Vickie Wilson of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dennis R. and Mary Wilson of Griffin, Jimmy Wilson of Woodstock, Kathy Wilson of Conyers; nieces, April McLemore of Covington, Ginger Wilson of Griffin; nephews, Wayne Wilson of Conyers, Allen Wilson and Stan Wilson, both of Monticello.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilson will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2 PM at Tabernacle of Praise in Mansfield with Pastor Steve Hall officiating, Ken Corley, Sandy Wilson and Wayne Wilson, guest speakers. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Thursday, October 14 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM.
