Susan Katherine Baxter

Susan Baxter, of Fripp Island, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 62. Susan was a cherished wife, mother, and friend. She was married for 31 years to her loving husband, Craig, with whom she shared a deep bond and a lifetime of memories. Above all, Susan’s greatest joy was caring for her family. She poured her heart into her role as a mother. A woman of unwavering faith, Susan lived her life with kindness, compassion, and a fierce love for those she held dear. Her faith guided her through all things, and her warm heart and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many. Susan’s legacy of love, devotion, and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

 She is preceded in death by her daughters, Stephanie Grace Baxter, Kimberly Sue Baxter; parents, Salvatore Louis and Jaqueline Mary Garland; and her brothers, Ralph Michael Garland, and Salvatore Louise Garland, Jr.

 Survivors include her loving husband, Craig Baxter; daughter, Emily Lee (Zachary); granddaughter, Eleanor Joy Lee; brother, John Garland (Mary); sister, Rebecca Hinson (Jeff); brother, Anthony Garland (Leah); as well as several nieces and nephews. 

 A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Baxter will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, 2:00 P.M., at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 11524 Hwy 278, in Covington, with Father Roberto officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, Sunday, December 8, from 5:00 -6:00 P.M., and Rosary beginning at 6:00 P.M.
