Susie Evelyn Morgan

Susie Evelyn Morgan, of Oxford, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the age of 85. Mrs. Morgan was employed by Farmers Furniture, where she worked for over 29 years. She was selfless in nature, kind, and caring. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed giving anyone a helping hand, never met a stranger, and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a wonderful cook and always prepared Sunday dinner at her home for her beloved family. Mrs. Morgan adored her family above all and cherished the memories made with them. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kristy Day; parents, William and Hattie Mae Miller; and brother, Jimmy Miller.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Al Morgan; daughter and son-in-law, Rene and George Carter; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sharon Morgan; grandchildren, Elaine and Billy Patterson, Julie and BJ Delgado, Kati and Armon Shahdadi; great-grandchildren, Carter Day, Morgan Patterson, Olivia Delgado, Emily Patterson, Brayden Delgado, Paisley Day, Taylor Toliver, Sophie Shahdadi, Lena Shahdadi; sisters and brother-in-law, Louise and Leo Thomas, Cathy Ober; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed Miller, Danny and Donna Miller, Tommy and Crystal Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Morgan will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 1:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Hill Haven Memory Gardens, 490 Edmondson Road, in Monroe. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to her service, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M.
