Sylvia Atkinson Conner

Sylvia Atkinson Conner, of Covington, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at the age of 84. Mrs. Conner was a devout Christian and member of East Newton Baptist Church. She liked cooking for her grandchildren and made all their favorites; a special chocolate cake and delicious macaroni and cheese. In addition, Mrs. Conner enjoyed traveling with family and close friends on vacation. She adored her family and loved being at home with them. Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Conner; grandson, LCpl Corey A. Little; daughter-in-law, Lisa Conner; sister, Gloria Stapp; and brothers, Jerry Atkinson, Perry Atkinson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Tim Little; son, Randy Conner; grandchildren and their spouses, Jaimie and Cameron Shaw, Nickolas and Hailey Little, Chris and Lindsey Conner, Wesley Conner, Brandi and Allen Martin; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Karen Atkinson, Ronald and Florie Atkinson; and other loving family members.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Conner will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Rev. Gary Morris officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East Newton Baptist Church, 11290 Highway 278 East, Covington, GA 30014.
