Ted Carnes

Floyd StreetTed Carnes of Covington, passed away March 29, 2011, at the age of 80. He enjoyed the outdoors, and loved gardening. Mr. Carnes worked hard, and was a good provider for his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather; and will be greatly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley J. and Pallie (Welch) Carnes.Survivors include his wife, Edna Carnes; daughters and son-in-law, Linda C. and Glenn Fitzgerald, all of Covington, Sheila Carnes of Mobile, AL; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry M. Carnes, Michael and Michelle Carnes, all of Covington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral Services for Mr. Carnes will be held Friday, April 1, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, with Rev. Daniel Gissendaner officiating, and interment following in New Covington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, March 31, from 6-8 PM.
