Thom Venable, 60, of Covington, GA, passed away on December 18, 2023. Thom, also known as Thomas L. Venable, was born on November 13, 1963, in Tennessee. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, and grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Thom was a versatile and loving human being who had a passion for the construction world. He turned his passion into a successful career as an entrepreneur and was the proud owner of his own company, Arco Construction Services LLC. Thom's creativity and inventiveness were evident in everything he did.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Thom was a pillar of support for many. He was known for his nurturing nature, always offering a shoulder to cry on and a tower of faith to lean on. Thom had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of many.
In his free time, Thom enjoyed indulging in various hobbies. Building birdhouses, creating beautiful flower and holiday arrangements, cooking, baking, and more were among his favorite pastimes. Thom's passion for these activities brought joy to his life and those around him. When he built birdhouses, they were not just small houses; they were bird mansions that showcased his pride and craftsmanship.
Thom is survived by his loving daughter, Kaelin Guinn, and cherished granddaughter, Aurora Guinn. He is also survived by his siblings, Sidney Venable, Richard Venable, Brent (Chris) Venable, and Marcus Donaldson. Thom was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Venable Sr., his mother, Dorthy Donaldson, and his stepfather, Billy Joe Donaldson.
A ceremony to celebrate Thom's life will be held at Potters House in Covington, GA, on January 13, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. After service we will have dining where the family ask that you bring a dish and memories. If you wish to purchase flowers you can send them to the church. Thank you in advance.
