Thomas Blackwell

Thomas Blackwell of Covington, passed away October 23, 2010, at the age of 81. As a United States veteran, Mr. Blackwell served in both the Army and Navy. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, including herbs and spices, and loved to cook. Mr. Blackwell loved spending time outdoors, and watching the deer and other animals while sitting on his front porch. Mr. Blackwell loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lilly (MacDavid) Blackwell; and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Clark Hinkle of Atlanta; son, Jeff Blackwell of Covington; sister, Nell Johnson; brother, Robert Blackwell of Selma, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Hinkle, Mitchell Hinkle; great-granddaughter, Savannah Ivie.
A Graveside Service for Mr. Blackwell will be held Thursday, October 28, 2010, 1:15 PM, at Alabama National Cemetery, in Montevallo, AL.
