Thomas Barrett Dally,

Thomas Barrett Dally, Jr., age 74, of Covington, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019. Mr. Dally was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard. He was a man who by his daily actions demonstrated a deep and unconditional love for family. Mr. Dally shared a special bond with his grandson, Jacob, and they enjoyed working together on the farm. He started Tri-County Livestock, which was located at the Hub, and was a member of the Cattleman's Association. Mr. Dally's hobbies tied together his life's passion of farming and his love of the outdoors - he liked to hunt and attend equipment sales. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Barrett, Sr., and Lucy (Burgess) Dally; and brothers, John Dally, Bob Dally.

Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Dally; son, Barry Dally of Monroe; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Rusty Easley of Mexico, Laura Brockman of Monroe; 6 grandchildren, including grandson, Jacob Pope of Covington, who was more like a son; brother and sister-in-law, Hal and Becky Dally of Social Circle; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Dally will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Danny Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with his family at the funeral home, two hours prior to the service, from 12 Noon - 2:00 P.M.
