Thomas A. Seddon, Jr., "Tom", age 77, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020. As a soldier in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and the Korean Conflict, Mr. Seddon - with immense pride and unwavering integrity - upheld the oath he took to protect and serve his country. Mr. Seddon focused his energies on being an attentive and caring family man, and his close bond with his grandchildren reflected his genuine love of family. He had a creative side and chose drawing to express himself artistically, and he dabbled in outdoor activities and hobbies, which included gardening and fly-fishing. Mr. Seddon was an active and faithful member of Eastridge Community Church in Covington. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Seddon; and parents, Thomas Andrew, Sr., and Elenor Soule Seddon.
Mr. Seddon's memory will be carried on in the hearts of many, especially his wife of 53 years, Catherine Seddon; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Aaron (Cojo) Cooley; grandchildren, Christopher Cooley, Marcus and Sarah Cooley, Keith Cooley; and great-granddaughter, Emily.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Seddon will be held Friday, February 21, 2020, 11:30 A.M., in Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Veterans Cemetery Road, Canton, GA 30114. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to We Ride To Provide, K-9 Memorial, 15 Huntington Place, Covington, GA 30016.
