Tim Hamlin

Floyd StreetTim Hamlin of Covington, passed away December 17, 2010, at the age of 59.  He was a lifelong resident of Newton County. He attended church services at Covington Manor Nursing Home when able, and he especially enjoyed the music. Mr. Hamlin was preceded in death by his parents, Morris E. and Rosie M. (Hewell) Hamlin. Survivors include his sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Bill Ingram of Covington, Helen and Arthur Keebler of Griffin, Jo Morris of Canton, Mary Ann and Joe Stradler of Thompson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles E. and Donna Hamlin, Donnie and Vickie Hamlin, all of Covington, Jack and Pat Holland of Detroit, MI; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Hamlin will be held Monday, December 20, 2010, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St., with Rev. Franklin Kitchens officiating, and interment following in Porterdale Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, from 12-2 PM.
