Timothy "Scott" Fairburn

Timothy “Scott” Fairburn, of Oxford, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at the age of 61. Mr. Fairburn was a retired police officer and a loving family man. He dedicated his life to helping others, both through his career in law enforcement and his personal acts of kindness.

A passionate outdoorsman, he loved deer hunting, fishing, camping, and tending to his yard. Above all, Mr. Fairburn cherished the time spent with his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather who created lasting memories with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. His family was his greatest joy, and he made sure they knew how much they meant to him. Mr. Fairburn was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Fairburn.  

Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany (Sam); grandchildren, Colton, Meadow, Ellie; mother, Julie W. Fairburn; brother, Richard A. Fairburn; uncles, Gary Fairburn (Sandy), Don Waybright; aunts, Joyce Johnson, Nancy Griffith, Jeanie Wilfong; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Fairburn will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2025, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington.
