Todd James Shields of Conyers, passed away July 9, 2018, at the age of 55. Todd was a 1981 graduate of Oak Ridge High School in Orlando, Florida. His career was in food service where he worked for Royal Foods and Sysco. Todd was an avid fan of sports - especially the Florida Gators, Atlanta Braves and Oakland Raiders. Coaching his son, Sean, in baseball, he also loved to play baseball and played throughout his life. In addition, Todd loved to play golf. He had a larger-than-life personality and would give the shirt off his back for you. Todd will be remembered as an amazing and dedicated father. He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Shields.
Survivors include his wife, Angie Shields; son, Sean Shields and mother, Etta Shields; step-sons, Ashton Ogletree and wife, Tara, Aaron Ogletree; mother, Sandra M. Stewart; step-mother, Kim Shields; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael and Ann Payne; sister, Jill Shields; brother, Greg Shields; step-sisters, Kelly Haight and husband, Ted, Darby Ciampi and husband, Jon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins.
A Graveside Service for Todd will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, 10:00 A.M, in Lawnwood Memorial Park, Covington, with Rev. David Payne and Terry Owen officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 250 Williams St. NW, Atlanta, GA 30303. Memorial Service to be announced.
