Tonya Benton

Tonya Benton, of Nicholson, passed away, at the age of 44. Tonya was very resilient, strong, and hard-working. She loved to joke and was very funny and could spend hours on the phone with her family cutting up. Tonya had many close friends, but her best friend was her daughter, Mezzie. She was always smiling, positive, and sweet. Tonya loved traveling to the beach, and spending time with her family, friends, and the love of her life, Troy Anderson. In addition, she held a special place in her heart for her cats.

Survivors include her children, Johnathon McGiboney, Kasia Thomas, Hannah Bratcher, Mezzanie Moon; mother, Cindy McGiboney; father, Tim Benton (Lisa); and sister, Christy Benton.

A Funeral Service for Tonya will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024, 2:00 P.M, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, and interment following in Salem Historical Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the at the funeral home, Saturday, two hours prior to her service, from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 P.M.
