Virginia M. Kursaitis

Access RoadVirginia M. Kursaitis of Oxford, passed away August 19, 2010, at the age of 76. Mrs. Kursaitis was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister; and was compassionate and giving throughout her life. She was comical, funny, and always ready to have a good time. Some of her most enjoyable moments were in front of a Bingo Card with her friends and grandsons. Mrs. Kursaitis was preceded in death by her husband, Henrikas "Hank" Kursaitis; parents, Robert Leonard Smith and Rosalee Eller; and her brother, Cecil Robert Smith. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Darlene and Jeff McElhannon of Mansfield; Chanin Kursaitis of Oxford; grandchildren, Amanda White Smith, Austin, Nick, and Luke McElhannon; sisters and brother-in-law, Gladys Smith of Oxford, Wanda and Kenneth New of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Anita Shakom of Chicago, IL; many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Kursaitis will be held Sunday, August 22, 2010, 3:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, August 21, from 6-8 PM.
