Walker Sams Kirkpatrick

Walker Sams Kirkpatrick, 82, of Covington, passed away December 2, 2013. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of High Point Baptist Church, but often attended Gaithers United Methodist Church, in Covington. He loved his family dearly, and will be missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen B. Kirkpatrick; parents, Robert and Maggie (Loyd) Kirkpatrick; and his sister, Myrtle Harper.

Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Darlene and Shawn McPherson of Conyers, Lisa Amrein; son and daughters-in-law, Walker Sams, Jr. and Linda Kirkpatrick of Covington, Karen Fincher of Oxford; grandchildren, Scott, Randi, Billy Dean, Timothy, Mathew, Walker Amrein, Carl, Michael and Amber; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Kirkpatrick will be held Thursday, December 5, 2013, 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, in Covington, with Rev. Clark McPherson officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 4, from 5:00 - 9:00 PM.
