Wayne Hilley

Access RoadWayne Hilley of Oxford, passed away March 22, 2011, at the age of 66. Mr. Hilley attended Allen Memorial United Methodist Church, in Oxford. He worked for Atlanta Gas Light Company for 35 years. He enjoyed watching TV in his recliner, eating at the Waffle House every morning, and taking care of his dogs, Molly and Bella. Mr. Hilley loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Faye (Lee) Hilley; and his parents, Arthur Morris and Bernice Hazel (Needham) Hilley. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Richie Childers; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Brandy Hilley, all of Oxford; grandchildren, Johnathan Hilley, Amber Childers, Kerstin Hilley, Ashlee Childers, Abby Childers; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Randy Peek of Conyers; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Greta Lee of Social Circle, Mary and Robert Patterson of Douglasville, Shirley Lee of Covington; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Hilley will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., with Dr. Alan Posey and Rev. Brian Dale officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, March 24, from 6-8 PM.
