Wayne Kelly

Wayne Kelly of Covington, passed away April 9, 2010, at the age of 72. Mr. Kelly was a life-long resident of Jasper County and a member of Christ Cornerstone Church in Covington. He retired from Erickson Fabrics with 37 years of service. Mr. Kelly was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed camping and farming. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Vallie Kitchens Kelly; siblings, Martha Kelly, Colin Kelly, and Jacqueline Birchfield. Survivors include his wife, Annette Kelly of Covington; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Kerry Caldwell of McDonough, Kimberly and Scott Messier, Tonya and David Hilliard all of Covington; grandchildren, Amy Long, PFC David Jr. and Carrie Long, Joshua Caldwell, Jacob Caldwell, Vallie Hilliard, Georgia Hilliard; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Charles Gibbs of Stone Mountain; as well and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mr. Kelly will be held Monday, April 12, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Christ Cornerstone Church in Covington, with Pastor Darrell Payne, Pastor David Payne, and Rev. Herman Goddard officiating and interment following at Prospect Methodist Cemetery in Mansfield, GA. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Sunday, April 11, from 6 - 9 PM.
