Werner Anschutz of Covington, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the age of 95. Werner was an individual who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for woodworking, capturing moments through his camera lens, and exploring the world through his travels and hikes. His journeys took him to the Blue Ridge Parkway and on unforgettable cruises, where he appreciated the beauty of the natural world around him. Werner was not only an explorer of the world but also a devoted spouse, having shared countless cherished moments with his beloved wife, Anneliese. He often found happiness in the company of his family, embracing every opportunity to create lasting memories with those he loved. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anneliese; his parents, Arno and Gertrud Anschutz; his beloved grandchildren, Karl Anschutz and Laura Anschutz.
Werner is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, John Anschutz (Terri) and Tom Anschutz (Rosa); grandchildren, Philip Anschutz and Stefan Anschutz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
