William Goss, of Covington, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 65. Mr. Goss took great pride in his job at the animal shelter. He enjoyed spending time at the pond and catching the turtles. Mr. Goss had a green thumb and was an excellent gardener. He appreciated a good meal, especially German food. Mr. Goss was always found listening to music, a great artist, and being quite the jokester with a big sense of humor. He could find humor in any situation. Mr. Goss cherished his family and his grandchildren dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph and Margareta Goss; and brothers, Charles Goss, Jerry Goss.
Mr. Goss is survived by his daughter, Amy Marlow (Brandon), Stevie Ruffner (Justin); grandchildren, Summer Marlow, Lance Marlow, Reagan Ruffner; siblings, John Goss, Christina Goss, JoAnn Goss; his loving nieces and nephews; and mother of his children and friend, Bonnie Wilson.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Goss will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 6:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M.
Governor Brian Kemp’s latest executive order has eliminated restrictions on large gatherings; however, CDC guidelines recommend social distancing (6 feet apart) and wearing of masks while in public.
