William Matthews

William Matthews, of Conyers, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 77. Mr. Matthews proudly served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam from 1967- 1969. He was a big sports fan and especially liked the New York Yankees, the local college teams, and the Oregon Ducks college teams.

Survivors include his loving wife of 16 years, Willa Matthews; daughters, Lisa Moody, Terri Pennington (Jason), Kelly Chastain (Michael), Amber Dawson, Loretta McCullough; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other loving family members.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Matthews will be held Friday, May 31, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at Caldwell and Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd. Covington, GA 30014. Friends are invited to visit with the family an hour prior to the service from 12:00PM until 1:00 PM.
