A spot is vacant in our hearts that can never be filled.

The essence of these words typifies the Spirit of William Jackson Morgan III 79 (affectionately known as Bill) who was born in Atlanta Georgia on January 7th, 1946. On February 13th, 2025, in the home he shared with his loving wife Cherie Jones-Morgan and surrounded by family God whispered, “come home my sweet child”. Bill accepted Christ in his life when he was a child. Bill was employed at Georgia Department of Labor, He Managed the Computer Operations Department for 30 years and retired July 1st, 2006. On July 14th, 2006, Bill was united in holy matrimony to Cherie Jones. Bill has been a blessing to everyone. He was a compassionate and fun-loving person who enjoyed fishing on his Bass boat with his family. He lived a full and happy life assisting others and showing kindness to strangers including donating to Feed the Children and other charities. Many of his attributes were motivation, honesty, and integrity. You could always count on Bill when needed. He displayed unwavering courage while enduring his battle with his illness.


Bill Leaves to Cherish His Memory his Spouse Cherie Jones-Morgan, Children: Brian & spouse Ernestine Morgan, Charles Jones, and Chauntese King, Grandchildren: Brandon Morgan, Jamy'a and spouse Tayveon Nesby, Carter & Landyn Lamberts, and Marlee King, Great Grandchildren: Ta'lani Nesby, and Eloise Morgan. Sibling: Sheila Humphries. In-laws: Ranena & spouse Warren Beck, Jimmy Lee and Darrell Humphries plus along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and all loved ones. Bill was preceded in death by his father William Jackson Morgan II, his parents Ann P. and Jimmy E Hicks, Grand Parents: Jack and Gertrude Morgan and Clarence and Zolima Wood on his mother’s side. Sibling: Anita Lee.
