William (Bill) Clark Strom, Jr. passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 after a valiant battle with cancer.
Bill was a 1968 graduate of Irvington High School in Fremont, CA. In 1972, he graduated from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he majored in Math. He continued his education at Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington. His professional career in banking in Southern California and Georgia spanned nearly 50 years. Most recently, Bill worked within the credit review department at Heritage Bank.
He deeply loved God and was a faithful witness of the Lord’s goodness and grace throughout his life. Bill was an extraordinarily kind, humble, generous, and loyal man with a keen sense of humor who was known for his wisdom and one-liners. With a gift for words, he always knew just the right thing to say, and was determined to be there for those he loved.
Spending time with his wife, Karin, his daughter, Rebekka, his son-in-law, Kirk, and his son Ricky was something he prioritized and cherished. Hobbies Bill enjoyed included golf, restoring classic cars, traveling, biking, music, sports, and attending plays.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 1 to 3pm Wednesday, October 26 at the Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home at 1215 Access Road, Covington, GA 30014. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Wednesday at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan. Flowers are accepted, or donations may be made to the Heritage Community Foundation, PO Box 935, Jonesboro, Georgia 30237.
