William “Bill” L. Decker, 74, passed away on Sunday December 5th 2021, at his home in Conyers, GA. He was the husband of Linda S. Decker, with whom he shared 36 years.

Born in Cartersville, GA, he was the son of Virginia Burns. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1969 with a BS in business administration. Bill was a sales engineer at Dealers Supply Company for over 50 years.

He was a member of the Honeycreek Country Club, where he spent many years playing golf. As a younger man, he was an avid tennis player. In 1989, Bill and his son, Brian, competed in the finals of the U.S. Open’s Equitable Family Tennis Challenge. Bill was an enthusiastic fan of the Tennessee Vols until his passing. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh, proclivity for storytelling and heart for rescue animals. Bill was a man who felt great love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Decker; son, Brian Decker, and his wife, Mary Decker; and step-daughter, Heather Coughlin, and her husband, Bo Coughlin. Surviving grandchildren include: Will Decker, Anna Decker, Charlie Decker, Brady Coughlin, Paris Coughlin, Ailish Coughlin, Bean Coughlin and Cam Coughlin. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Maureen Decker, and mother, Jenny Burns.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at his home on January 8th, 2022, at 1:00pm. It will be followed by a celebration of life at 2:00pm where all family and friends are welcome. Parking will be available at Young American Christian School and a shuttle ride to Mr. Decker's home will be provided.
