William Bryan Mcgilton

William Bryan McGilton, of Covington, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at the age of 88. Mr. McGilton loved his Lord and Savior and ministered to many people throughout his life. He was the most giving person you ever met and always helping others. He was funny, full of energy, kind, and always joking with others. Mr. McGilton was a talented writer and loved to read. He was always writing and kept journals throughout his whole life. In addition, Mr. McGilton was a great woodworker and carpenter. He loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Dayton; father, Bryan McGilton; and brother, Robert “Bob” McGilton.

Survivors include his loving wife, Chris McGilton; children, Shelly Jean Davis, Diane Marie Ramsey, Bryan Keith McGilton, Shauna Lisa McGilton, Mark William McGilton (Natasha), Samuel Craig McGilton (Tracie), William “Billy” Matthew McGilton (Tina); step-children, Judy Crain (Mike), Steve Goss (Tami); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam McGilton, Jim McGilton; as well as his sister, Mary Ann Eby; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. McGilton will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Neal Dose officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family, at the funeral home, Wednesday, December 13, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
