William Wayne Tumlin

William Wayne Tumlin, of Suches, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023, at the age of 83. Mr. Tumlin was a highly skilled carpenter for various companies, most notably being Design South. He resided in Covington for 34 years before moving to Suches. Mr. Tumlin enjoyed going out to eat at new restaurants with his family. Additionally, he loved using his phenomenal woodworking skills to make toys and puzzles for his beloved grandchildren. Mr. Tumlin was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Tumlin; parents, George William and Florence Edna Tumlin; sisters, Barbara Tumlin, Rita Tumlin; and brothers, Colon Tumlin, Elmer Tumlin.

He is survived by his children, Mary Alice Marshall, Junior Tumlin, Brenda Diane Fennell, Tina Nanette Griffin, Robin Tumlin; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Casper (Kenny), Mary Elizabeth Tumlin; brother, Carl Edward (Heather); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Tumlin will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams officiating, and interment following in Eastview Cemetery, 1127 Eastview Road NE, in Conyers. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home two hours prior to his service from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 P.M.
