Willie B. Batchelor

Willie B. Batchelor of Lawrenceville, formerly of Covington, passed away October 1, 2017, at 79 years of age. After graduating from Carrollton High School, she attended Marsh Business College in Atlanta. A member of First Baptist Church for 17 years, Mrs. Batchelor worked in the insurance industry for 10 years, and in her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. Mrs. Batchelor was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth L. Batchelor; parents, M.A. and Avis (Lee) Barnard.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Davey Bolling of Lawrenceville; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Nina Batchelor of Canton, MS; granddaughters, Stephanie Farris, Addie Bolling; great-grandson, Keegan Farris; brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Lisa Barnard of Jupiter, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Batchelor will be held Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church, 1139 Usher St., Covington, with Dr. Cody McNutt officiating. Interment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway, in Marietta. Friends may visit with the family at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, Tuesday, October 3, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Batchelor may be made to First Baptist Church in Covington.
