Willie A. Moon of Conyers, passed away Monday, September 2, 2019, at the age of 96. Mr. Moon proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and the owner of Emory Hills Barber Shop. Mr. Moon was an avid photographer, and in his earlier years, enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Moon, Sr., and Ethel (Johnson) Moon.
Survivors include his adoring wife, Dorothy "Dot" Moon; sisters, Virginia Bratcher, Alice Gibbons; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Moon will be held Thursday, September 5, 2019, 11:00 A.M., at the Chapel of Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2617 Vinson Highway, in Milledgeville, with Pastor Nolan Jackson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VWF, 1432 VFW Drive SW, Conyers, GA 30012 or the American Legion, 674 American Legion Road NE, Conyers, GA.
