Linda R. Batchelor

Linda R. Batchelor, of Covington, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at the age of 76. Mrs. Batchelor was a wonderful homemaker and took immense pride in raising her children. She loved the peace and contentment she had with her husband, Leonard, by her side. In her free time, Mrs. Batchelor liked to cook, sew, flower garden, and spend time with friends. In addition to her love of family and friends, it was her heart’s desire to tell others about Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Eula Elizabeth Rogers; sisters, Evelyn Wise, Alice Stellers, Maybelle Haggard, Lucille Cagle, Kathleen Roberts, Mary Rogers; and brothers, M.F. Rogers, William Rogers, Arthur Lee Rogers, Ralph Rogers.

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Leonard Batchelor; sons, Arthur Batchelor (Lisa), Kenny Batchelor (Terri), Lynn Batchelor (Edna); grandchildren, Arthur Batchelor, III, Elisa Rose, Delone Batchelor, Lindsey Batchelor, Amber Batchelor; great-grandchildren, Hunter Wiggins, Nevaeh Wiggins, Mayson Poole; brother, Frank Rogers; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service for Mrs. Batchelor will be held Wednesday, January 5, 3:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington. Interment will follow in High Point Baptist Church Cemetery, 12025 GA-36, in Covington. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home, two hours prior to her service, from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M.
